For the Future of Hip Hop, All That Glitters is Not Gold Teeth
Stanley Crouch has a point that's worth listening to. It's time for a change. In his article, "The Futue of Hip Hop, All That Glitters is Not Gold Teeth," he makes the point that a lot of the lyrics and images now associated with Hip Hop have, indeed, gone way overboard. I don't know about you, but frankly, I am tired of liquor, cars, hoes, blunts, bling, sex, guns, and cash being the whole story - or even part of the story - however looped around. Unfortunately, grime and smut sell. There are a lot of grimy people out here - male and female. Like, let me show you or tell you all the nasty shit I know and see how many of you I can bring down to that level. So what do you think?
